Are you passionate about boats? Do you want to work on the water? Studying maritime courses at Sydney TAFE means you can become involved in major operations in the exciting world of shipping.

You could become a ship’s engineer, ship’s master, coxwain, deck hand, fishing hand, ship’s surveyor or officer. You may be responsible for maintaining a ship, control and direct operations, ensuring safe transportation of cargo and passengers or protecting the marine environment.

Sydney TAFE can recognise your knowledge and life/work experience so you finish your qualification faster. So if you are already working in the industry, you can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) so you don’t have to study what you already know.
